Nicole Finnie has been working as a Lead Research Engineer at Bosch AI Research since 2018, where she focuses on foundational models. She firmly believes in the profound societal impact of AI. Even though she's what locals might call a "Neigschmeckte" (that's Swabian dialect for someone who's moved into the Stuttgart Region), Nicole feels at home right from the beginning. She is particularly fascinated by the culture, lifestyle, and diverse outdoor activities such as hiking in the mountains. Plus, she's loving the work-life balance and great working conditions that convinced her to settle down in Renningen - only a short bike ride away from Bosch Research.
Luigi Palmieri, Group Leader and Specialist in AI and Robotics, is originally from Italy and made the deliberate choice to work at Bosch AI Research due to his deep fascination for Artificial Intelligence. His journey to Germany began with his PhD in Freiburg. Now at Bosch Research, Luigi finds himself immersed in a plethora of technological topics and enjoys collaborating with diverse international colleagues. He appreciates Stuttgart's size and its central location in Europe, surrounded by nature and the diverse opportunities for professional and personal growth, making it the perfect fit for him.
